Voyeurism charges filed after model sees camera at cosmetic surgery

A Toronto man has been charged with voyeurism after a model allegedly found a recording device in the changing room of a downtown cosmetic surgeon, police say.

Jonathon Murphy, 41, was charged Thursday after an investigation into the incident, which allegedly took place at Surgeon Dr. Seema Rege’s office, according to a Toronto Police Department Facebook post.

The company’s website lists Dr. Rege, an anesthesiologist, as the chief surgeon. Messages left for the doctor’s office weren’t immediately returned.

Police allege that during the “surgery procedure,” the patient found a device that “appeared to be connected to the changing room video camera.”

The woman notified the doctor’s office staff, who then notified the police and searched the office, the post says. Police alleged that about 10 other devices containing “other possible incriminating video recordings” were found in a display case by the change room.

The police investigation is ongoing, the post says.

CNN has reached out to police to ask how many devices were found and where in the building the suspect allegedly filmed the woman.
