It’s the holiday season and a big turnout is guaranteed for Scotiabank Arena on Saturday, December, 12th for the annual COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic for young kids.
That’s because 160 local clinics are hosting over half a million doses for all ages in Canada. This is the largest month-long vaccination effort in Canada for any infectious disease in over six years.
The event is the largest national immunization program in Canada in over six years. It has vaccinated kids of all ages and up to date vaccinations against measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, and polio.
Stu Sandler, CEO of Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres Canada and Co- Chair of Project COVID-19, said, “The annual COVID-19 vaccination clinic is an important reminder of how lucky Canadians are to have excellent immunization coverage for measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, and polio.
So, not only are we one of the world’s best at immunizing our kids against diseases, but it’s a fundamental right for every Canadian to have access to that immunization.”
Scotiabank Arena, ground zero for many Canadian sports, has been hosting COVID-19 public vaccination clinics for over 10 years. To learn more about upcoming vaccination clinics please visit www.projectcovegence19.com.
