‘Saved by Grace’s’ Jennifer Taylor recalls landing ‘Two and Half Men’ role, working alongside Charlie Sheen, Michael Sheen, Joe Flaherty, and more
“I was absolutely thrilled to be a part of the show that I’d grown up watching — and to be able to portray characters that I loved so much. I grew up with Charlie (Sh heen) and Joe (Flaherty) and Michael (Sh heen) as family friends. I’ve always been so in touch with them and their families, so it was very special to land these characters. I did have my reservations about doing a movie about a sitcom family or, of course, a family on a daily basis. But it was a real privilege to be a part of a show I loved and had so much fun working on. I felt like I was always a part of Charlie’s circle, whether he was at a restaurant or in his room.”
Jennifer Taylor, who landed the role of Charlie, Michael, and Joe’s daughter Julie, on “Two and Half Men” after having spent the past eight years playing the part of Charlie’s sister, D.J., on “Charlie Sheen in the Morning,” recalled how they all became involved with the show, and that it was all part of a family.
“We’re all family,” Taylor said. “It was a family drama. I remember when Charlie and Joe were struggling, we really struggled with that. We’re all human, all struggling. It’s a good show. I think it speaks to a lot of people. It was really fun to be a part of it.”
